Companies providing car maintenance and repair services in Norway must be approved by the Norwegian Labour Inspectorate. Companies that provide all or part of the manual services listed below must submit documentation to the Norwegian Labour Inspectorate proving that the work is carried out in accordance with the established working environment regulations:
- Hand washing of interior and exterior cars,
- maintenance and repair of painted and unpainted surfaces and car interiors,
- repairing minor damage (e.g. scratches, stone chipping, etc.),
- Changing car wheels (changing summer tyres to winter tyres or vice versa, by fitting them on the rim),
- Protecting car wheels (to protect summer or winter tyres mounted on the rims).
